The first book in Shelley Adina’s All About Us series for teens, It's All About Us, shortlisted for the 2009  Canadian Christian fiction awards sponsored by The Word Guild, in the young adult category. Shelley will be signing books three and four in the series, Be Strong & Curvaceous and Who Made You a Princess? on June 26 at 7:00 p.m. at the Barnes & Noble in Greensburg, PA.

 

Bonnie Grove will be teaching fiction at Write!Canada, June 18-20 in Guelph Ontario. Her short story The Stuckville Café, which appears in the anthology Hot Apple Cider has been shortlisted in The Word Guild Christian Writers Awards. Winners will be announced at the Gala Awards in Mississauga Ontario, June 17th.


On June 19-20, Virginia Smith will teach two sessions at Kentucky Christian Writers Conference in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. For more information, visit KCWC’s website.

 

Amber (Miller) Stockton  will sign copies of her books 12 other Christian authors at Spirit Fest,  along the river walk in Pueblo, Colorado. The event will be held Friday, June 12th from 5-10pm, and Saturday, 13th from 4-10pm. Amber will be there with 2 other authors from 4-6pm on Saturday, June 13th.

 

Karen Whiting’s first article is published with suite101.com here.   It’s Video Game Benefits and several more will follow. June 6th she’ll be signing books at a children’s event at The Gospel Book Shop in Salisbury, MD. She’ll be interviewed by Rest Ministries (blog radio) on June 9th (9am Pacific Time). June 25th she’ll be speaking at the Villages in Florida (largest senior community in US) and then doing her first day long seminar for girls on Inner and Outer Beauty, in Myakka City, Florida. As the featured YA nonfiction author for June for the Sandbox Summer Festival of Reading on Beach Reads she’ll be interviewed several times: June 4, 18— General interview about herself (will feature the Cup of Comfort Devotional for Mothers and Teens that she’s part of as a great book for moms and tweens to read together); June 11, 23—Review of her family devotional book and God’s Girls books.
